Minneapolis St Paul Fishing Boats for Rent

One of the biggest challenges the occasional fisher faces is their lack of a fishing boat.

Fishing Boats for Rent

Fishing Boats for Rent

In Minneapolis the city of Lakes, and Minnesota the land of 10,000 lakes, you would think it would be relatively easy to find a fishing boat to rent.  But doing so online turned out to be a bit more difficult than I imagined.

I guess, I should be contacting some of these marina’s and offering them my internet marketing services, as it’s clear they could do better.

That said, I was able to generate a starting list of locations and will add to it over time as I discover additional services.  For now, I am skipping pontoon rentals.  While nothing could be finer than an family outing on a pontoon for fishing and other recreation, this list will stick to conventional fishing boats.

Please send me your recommendations for other good places to rent a fishing boat.  I would like to include boat rental locations near Rochester, St Cloud and Duluth as well as the Twin Cities area.

While you are at it, I am also looking for the best shore fishing and fishing dock locations in the Twin City Metro in particular and where ever else you may suggest in the upper midwest.

  • Thanks so much for doing this, my 12 year old loves to fish, but we can only do it once in awhile. I don’t have room or funds to purchase a boat; so rental would be great.

  • Thanks very much for this info. I wish that there we’re rentals available on Prior Lake, do you have any info on that?

  • DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF A PLACE THAT RENTS PONTOONS EQUIPPED ALONG WITH FISHING GEAR?? IF YOU DON’T OWN YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT. THANK YOU.

  • I wanted to say thanks as well and to leave a comment for Rick Myers. I actually just called a pontoon rental place on Prior Lake. I can’t remember the name, however – but if you google it you’ll find it.
At the place I called, they offered a pontoon for $200, for 3 hours (6pm-9pm).
Neither I nor my Dad have boats, so I’m trying to rent one to go fishing tomorrow (Father’s Day).
    Have a good one.

I am looking for a small rowboat. Preferrably with a trailer too. Just a 1 -2 day rental. Small, but not a canoe or kayak.
